My mum is constantly amazed by me and my Sherlockian skills....

Back on Valentine's Day
Me:	is eavesdropping on the lady next to me talking to her kid about what Valentine's Day means
Lady and kid:	leave
Me:	She's single.
Mum:	What?
Me:	She's single. It was obvious from the way she talked about Valentine's Day. She doesn't need anybody to tell her they love her on that day because she loves herself.... obviously single.
Later in the car
Mum:	So what were the ladies at the dentist talking about?
Me:	shrugs Not much. Valentine's Day stuff, mostly.... One of them is meeting with a friend later, but apparently it hasn't moved past the friend stage yet even though she wants it to. She probably doesn't want to make the first move.
